Who supplies reliable LED solar simulator modules for global projects?

When selecting an LED solar simulator module or light-engine assembly, do not compare only wavelength, puissance optique, and unit price.

For custom UV, blue, red, NIR, or SWIR channels, the real question is:

Can the supplier prove stable spectral output in your actual operating conditions?

A reliable supplier should provide these essentials:

  1. Operating-point spectrum
Spectral power distribution (SPD), peak wavelength, FWHM, drive current, and case or junction temperature.
  2. Radiometric output
Request radiant flux in mW/W, not only lumens. This is critical for UV, NIR, and SWIR solar simulator channels.
  3. Bin and lot consistency
Confirm wavelength-bin range, radiant-flux bin, lot records, and whether the requested bin can be maintained in production.
  4. Thermal data
Review thermal resistance, derating curves, forward voltage, maximum junction temperature, and recommended thermal design.
  5. Reliability evidence
Ask for high-temperature operating-life, humidité, thermal-cycle, ESD, optical-degradation, and wavelength-drift data—with test conditions and sample size.
  6. Optical compatibility
Check emitting area, angle de vision, far-field pattern, package geometry, and optical-axis tolerance. These affect mixing and irradiance uniformity.
  7. Traceability and change control
Require lot numbers, certificates of conformance, authorized supply-chain proof, and advance notice of changes to die, emballer, lens, materials, process, or manufacturing site.
  8. In-system validation
Test samples from at least two lots in the final light engine for spectrum, radiant flux, heat, aging, and irradiance uniformity.

A typical datasheet value is not a production commitment. Put measurable acceptance criteria into the purchase specification: wavelength range, FWHM, minimum radiant flux, thermal limits, output degradation, wavelength drift, lot variation, and traceability requirements.

The best LED solar simulator supplier is not simply the lowest-cost source.

It is the supplier that can repeatedly deliver the required spectrum, sortir, and reliability—with evidence.
